Autumn 2024 | Three New Releases
Richard Rowan’s latest collection is a true visual love letter to nature and the special connection we share with it. Capturing these rare, and fleeting occurrences, the ground-breaking contemporary glass painter revisits captivating auroras from around the world, allowing everyone a glimpse of their magical light. Inspired by the auroras of Finland, Iceland and, most recently, the UK, Rowan uses three varying compositions and colours to capture the changing and ever-unique appearance of the lights. Those who have witnessed the auroras will have experienced their wonder; the spectrum of colours created by nature. Yet the way Rowan captures the skyline reveals a more vivid image than can be seen with the naked eye or in a photograph, with rich colours and contrasts. Rowan also pairs each of his artworks with a song; the track he was listening to when painting it. For this collection, Rowan listened to Tony Anderson’s album, ‘The Heart of Man’. Enjoying the art and music together is a truly ambient experience.
